JANINE JANSEN PERFORMS WITH ORCHESTRA DELL’ACCADEMIA NAZIONALE DI SANTA CECILIA

Janine Jansen performs Brahms’ Violin Concerto in Rome on 21, 23 and 24 February with the Orchestra dell’Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia under the baton of Sir Antonio Pappano.

These performances are recorded for Janine’s latest album, which will also feature Bartok’s Violin Concerto No.1 with the London Symphony Orchestra also conducted by Pappano. The album is due to be released in autumn 2015.

Janine then embarks on a six-concert tour of Europe with the orchestra and Pappano, playing Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto, and includes performances inBaden-Baden (1 March), Düsseldorf (3), Brussels (4) and Luxembourg (7). The final two concerts are in Janine’s native Holland, with the first on 8 March at the Frits Philips Muziekgebouw Eindhoven – where she is currently Artist in Residence – and the second on 9 March at Amsterdam’s Concertgebouw. Janine returns to the latter this summer to perform Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto with the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra and Andrés Orozco-Estrada.
